What PowderGuard® finish levels does American Door offer?
Four levels of protection: PowderGuard® Premium, PowderGuard® Textured, PowderGuard® Zinc, and PowderGuard® Max — letting you match the finish to the demands of your application.

What is PowderGuard® Premium Finish?
A polyester powder coat available in approximately 200 RAL colors, with a custom color match upgrade available to meet architects’ specs. It’s ideal for a wide array of interior and exterior applications.

What is PowderGuard® Textured Finish?
A textured powder coat that provides a thicker, more scratch-resistant coat for added product protection. It hides dirt and debris and is ideal for industrial environments (previously known as Weathered Finish).

What is PowderGuard® Zinc Finish and where is it applied?
A zinc-enriched base coat that provides corrosion protection outperforming both hot-dipped and cold galvanized steel against red and white rust — ideal for damp or outdoor environments. It’s available on guides, head plates, and bottom bar only, and can be applied as a base coat topped with PowderGuard® Premium or Textured Finish.

What is PowderGuard® Max Finish?
PowderGuard® Max is four times harder than PowderGuard® Premium, offering enhanced strength and durability for high-cycle applications along with an easy-to-clean surface. It’s available in White, Tan, and Gray, or any of the roughly 200 RAL powder coat colors, with a custom color match upgrade (previously known as Anti-Graffiti Formula).

What parts of the door system can be powder coated?
